ONGC Assam Asset invites applications from retired ONGC personnel belonging to the Production and Drilling disciplines for engagement as Associate Consultants and Junior Consultants under Advertisement No. ASSAM/WS/CONSLT-2026-27.
Associate Consultant: Retired ONGC personnel with at least 10 years of experience in Work Over/Drilling operations at E4/E5 level. E6-level candidates may be considered if E4/E5 candidates are unavailable, subject to the prescribed pay cap.
Junior Consultant: Retired ONGC personnel from Production and Drilling disciplines up to E3 level.
Age limit: Associate Consultant applicants must be within 63 years as on 12 November 2026. The supplied notice does not state a separate numerical upper age limit for Junior Consultants.
Applicants must satisfy all service, discipline, experience and grade requirements specified in the official notification.
This recruitment is specifically for retired ONGC personnel. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed service conditions are not eligible.

The positions are associated with Production and Drilling operations under Well Services, including supervision of Work Over Rigs in Assam Asset.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
Written test.
Personal interview.
Verification of eligibility and relevant service details.
Medical fitness assessment as required by ONGC.
Written-test and interview dates will be communicated to shortlisted candidates by email. No TA/DA will be reimbursed for attending the selection process.

Associate Consultant: ₹66,000 per month plus up to ₹2,000 for communication facilities. Junior Consultant: ₹40,000 per month plus up to ₹2,000 for communication facilities. The engagement is for two years, initially one year with a possible extension for another year based on performance and organisational requirements. The notice provides for 80% monthly payment and 20% payment after performance assessment.
