Amount / Benefits
₹12,000 per year, paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), subject to renewal and scheme requirements.
Eligibility
Generally, students selected through the State/UT selection examination for the fresh Class IX award. The guidelines require at least 55% marks or equivalent in Class VII, with a 5-percentage-point relaxation for SC/ST students, and parental income not exceeding ₹3.5 lakh per year. Students must attend eligible government, government-aided or local-body schools.

Scholarship for meritorious students from economically weaker families to encourage them to continue their school education from Class IX through Class XII.
