Eligibility Details
Application Fee
General/Unreserved = ₹1,150; General-EWS/OBC-NCL = ₹600; SC/ST/Third Gender/PwD/PwBD = ₹325. Late application fee: Additional ₹500. Payment gateway charges and GST extra.Age Limit | JRF: Maximum 30 Years; Cut-off Date: 01-12-2026. No upper age limit for Assistant Professor eligibility or Ph.D. admission.
Age Relaxation
Up to 5 Years for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender and women; up to 5 Years for eligible research experience and armed forces service; LLM degree holders = 3 Years. Overall relaxation is subject to official rules.
Selection Process
Computer-Based Test (CBT): Paper I (50 questions, 100 marks) + Paper II (100 questions, 200 marks) → Result and Qualification Category based on applicable criteria.
Other Important Eligibility
Master's degree with at least 55% marks for General/Unreserved and General-EWS candidates; 50% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/Third Gender candidates. Eligible four-year bachelor's degree holders with 75% marks, subject to applicable relaxation, may qualify for JRF and Ph.D. admission, but not Assistant Professor eligibility through this route. Final-year Master's candidates may apply provisionally.
